The Artwalk transforms the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach into a bustling hub of creativity while downtown restaurants will offer enticing dining specials and refreshing drinks for attendees strolling participating venues.

Jason Greene, Chief Executive Officer of Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance, the event host, said, “Myrtle Beach has a vibrant arts culture, and we believe these monthly events are the perfect venue to highlight that culture. This month, we’ve added several live performances from painting, pottery, improv, language arts and open mic. Our intent is for this event to continue to grow month after month.”

Launched in 2017 by local photographer Carl Kerridge and artist William H Miller, F1rst Friday Artwalk was created to unify and promote the local arts in downtown Myrtle Beach, which housed five art galleries and a frame shop at that time. Since then, F1rst Friday Artwalks have continued with the William H Miller Studios hosting a F1rst Friday Art Reception monthly during the event.

In strolling through the Arts & Innovation district, Artwalk attendees will discover a diverse showcase of local talent. Participating galleries and businesses will feature stunning works from a variety of artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and more. In addition to showcasing their art, several artists will be painting or working with their mediums during the Artwalk.
