Complimentary Light Displays and Activities Run Nov. 29 - Jan. 4
The holiday season in Myrtle Beach is set to be more enchanting than ever with the return of Winter Wonderland at The Beach. This annual oceanfront light display and festival, produced by the City of Myrtle Beach in partnership with the Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau, promises a unique blend of coastal charm and holiday spirit.
From Nov. 29, 2024, through Jan. 4, 2025, festivalgoers can enjoy a complimentary nightly light display along the iconic Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, stretching from Plyer Park to Second Avenue Pier, from 5 to 9 p.m. This mile-long spectacle transforms the famous beachfront into a luminous wonderland, offering a picturesque setting for holiday strolls by the ocean.
Weekend entertainment options abound throughout the festival, featuring lively DJ dance parties under the glow of the beloved SkyWheel, family photos with Santa, caroling, art walks and holiday markets in charming Nance Plaza.
Main attractions include the annual tree lighting celebration with a guaranteed snowfall on Nov. 30, the Gullah Christmas experience with cultural ambassadors Ron and Natalie Daise on Dec. 14, followed by Polar Express Night at the historic Myrtle Beach Train Depot, a spectacular aerial drone show on Dec. 21, and a New Year’s Eve fireworks show over the Atlantic.
“Winter Wonderland at The Beach offers a unique holiday experience combining the beauty of our welcoming coastline with numerous festive activities for the entire family – all for free,” said Mayor Brenda Bethune, City of Myrtle Beach. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the season and creating lasting memories with their families in Myrtle Beach.”
